Delivering excellence at Capita Learning as a Lead Business Analyst:
Capita Learning are a highly successful learning provider working both in the public and the private sector, we currently have an exciting role for an experienced Business Analyst to join our fast paced and skilled team.
Working within this role you will be responsible for the end to end business analysis life cycle, from identifying change requirements to identifying the business impact of these changes to implementing the change, you will pay a critical role in the process.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record as a Business Analyst who is looking for a varied, influential and hands on position for their next role, in return you will work with some of our most high profile clients and have ample opportunity to learn and progress within the business
What you will be doing:
Responsible for understanding existing and facilitating the agreement of new business processes and detailed requirements
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
Identify and define the scope of the business analysis elements within assigned project(s) and assist the project manager in planning these activities, working with the relevant parties to provide an estimate of the effort/time/cost (S/M/L) required and any dependencies
Seek out and tackle issues that will prevent the delivery of business benefits, facilitating open communication and discussion between stakeholders
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed: Functional Requirements, Business Requirements, Gap Analysis, Use Cases and GUI/Screen/Interface designs
What we are looking for:
An autonomous self-starter with the ability to show initiative and work without supervision.
Significant experience in end to end solution development in a commercial environment
Experience of scoping analysis activities with a proven track record of deadlines within budget
Ability to chair and manage workshops and meetings
Analytical and requirements gathering skills: skilled in working with business users to extract business and functional requirements using techniques such as interactive design sessions, SME Interviews, and requirements workshops
The ability to produce concise and objective specifications of business need (both functional and non-functional requirements) and to articulate this to stakeholders at a variety of levels
Experienced user of process modelling tools (e.g. Microsoft Visio)
