In this role, you will:

• Develop, maintain and improve credit risk strategies to allow us to make high quality decisions for our customers driven by data;
• Provide analyses to run credit portfolios against agreed performance indicators;
• Support growth in the business through the delivery of WPB initiatives, delivering analytics to enable the design and roll-out of new lending products or enhancing existing product features;
• Lead analytical projects to completion with minimal guidance;
• Formulate and clearly communicate conclusions and proposals, collaborating with teams to make decisions
• Determine solutions to emerging risk issues, changing priorities, project completion issues and areas of conflict;
• Challenge established policy and procedures, where appropriate and suggest alternatives;
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and documentary requirements.

Requirements

To be successful, you should meet the following requirements:

• Previous experience in a relevant role, i.e. Credit, Risk Analytics or an Analysis based role;
• Experience of analytical capabilities using relevant software packages to analyse data is needed, i.e. SAS/SQL/VBA ;
• Proven experience of successful project management working across teams to deliver is essential;
• You enjoy working collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals
• You are a clear communicator and are able to communicate confidently to a diverse audience;
• You are motivated by making a positive contribution to how we support our customers and deliver for HSBC
• Awareness of the regulations that apply to lending are desirable but not essential
• Possess a degree/qualification in an analytical/numerical field or equivalent.
