We’re now seeking an individual with knowledge and experience working as a Revenues and Benefits officer/assessor to become an L&D officer. What you’ll be doing:
Designing and delivering highly interactive new starter and upskill training focussed on clear performance outcomes
providing practical on-the-job coaching to aid learning transfer, maximise achievement of performance outcomes and prevent unnecessary attrition
producing summaries and guidance resources to explain changes in legislation, systems and procedures
Supporting colleagues across the business with technical queries
Undertaking appeals work involving processing revisions, first and second stage appeals, preparing tribunal submissions and attending hearings
Liaising with stakeholders to assist the scheduling process and to ensure the needs of the business are pro-actively identified and suitable solutions are recommended
Creating a range of tech enabled and innovative learning interventions to support employee development within a busy KPI environment
Actively utilising Microsoft 365 to enable delivery of more effective, tech enabled learning solutions
Supporting initiatives to transform the approach to people development to ensure it is learner centric and that all employees have access to ‘moment of need’ digital resources
Supporting initiatives such as Next Revs & Bens, automation and bots
Completing CPD activity to remain current with industry thinking in relation to L&D theories and methods to ensure the service delivered to the business remains ahead of the curve
Undertaking any other duties as may be required from time to time commensurate with the level of the post
What we’re looking for
Excellent working knowledge of at least one of the following Housing and Council Tax Benefit/Support, Council Tax or Business Rates administration and experienced with Capita One, Northgate or Civica systems.
Familiarity with Information @ Work or other document imaging software
Skilled in the design and delivery of learning initiatives
Proven experience designing and delivering soft skills and/or leadership training
Previous involvement in project or client management
Current knowledge of effective L&D methods and industry hot topics
High level knowledge of digital learning platforms such as O365
