About the opportunity
We are looking for an L&D Design Manager to create online learning materials for our Lean Thinking team. Reporting into the Director of Lean, this role is critical in creating a business-wide education programme on our specialist digital platform. Using your background in understanding how people learn, and working closely with Lean experts in your team, you will create training assets across a variety of topic areas.
The role is a key part of a recently established Lean Thinking team which is focused on developing and deploying an approach for organisational excellence across ASOS and its partners. This approach focuses on growing value against our purpose and mission through more effective use of our current capabilities and driving out wasteful activity.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of establishing best practice and inspiring others across ASOS, applying Lean and Digital Thinking to drive our Lean Strategy and ASOS Mission.
Key responsibilities:
- Ownership of the end-to-end design of our ASOS Lean Hub & Lean Thinking digital learning offering – including things like e-learning, video, augmented & virtual reality, and portal technology.
- Development of digital lean governance – including data, reporting and learning completion tracking.
- Continuous improvement of the Lean Thinking digital learning offering. Using data and insight to identify areas where additional value can be generated or waste eliminated.
- Work individually and as part of project teams and groups to establish appropriate learning solutions, manage the development and delivery of new digital learning projects and project manage third-party developers as and when required.
- Lead on digital learning projects in a robust and efficient manner, ensuring all are delivered on time and within budget – to the agreed quality standards and specifications.
- Stay informed on any new trends in approaches, technology, and tools, you’ll ensure we deliver innovative learning solutions to our ASOSers.
- Execute vendor selection and performance processes where required, and proactively manage or oversee relationships with preferred partners to optimise ROI.
- Work with the Digital Learning Partner to ensure the digital learning experience at ASOS through user experience testing to get to the heart of how learners want to interact with digital learning and incorporating this into digital learning product design.
Experience:
- Leading learning design through effective design models i.e. ADDIE or SAM.
- Administering and maintaining Rise360/articulate digital learning.
- Filming and editing learning videos.
- Using graphic design tools i.e. Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Digital learning content creation tools.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- An appreciation for machine learning, AI, data analytics and automation.
- You will have a working knowledge of Lean Thinking.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and management with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to think and act strategically, analyse complex evidence and develop practical and innovative solutions to the management of strategic issues and complex problems.
