Our client based in Basildon has a permanent opportunity for a Land Freight Operator to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year experience within freight imports along with strong communication and organisational skills.

The main focus of your role is to process consignments arriving into the UK by road from Europe. You will be responsible for preparing import documents, raising jobs, delivery orders and invoicing. Other aspect of this role will involve liaising with customers, overseas offices, partners and agents. You will be responsible for checking shipping invoices and packing lists to ensure they are accurate.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a strong team player who is able to multi-task, prioritise your own workload, have strong attention to detail and an analytical ability along with excellent administration skills and knowledge of Word and Excel.

The hours for this role are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
