Essential Job Responsibilities

Evaluate incoming ingredients, work in process products, and finished goods.

• Collect and analyze samples accordingly to Quality Assurance Procedures, conduct tests, and report a finished product evaluation. Ensuring results are within specified ranges, completed and recorded in a timely manner.
• Accountable for the control of our ingredient and finished goods inbound verification program. 
  • In charge for sampling and inspecting all inbound loads, testing, and communicating all results.
• Conduct all in-house testing of all raw materials and finished products.
• Prepares and measures all product evaluation samples.
• Prepares samples for quarterly gluten testing.
• Process environmental swabs as needed.
• In charge of sample management.
• Conduct laboratory tests using equipment.
• There will not be any design of experiments but will be required to follow detailed policies and procedures.
• Inputs results into BPCS, Oracle, or SAP system.
• Places items on hold that do not meet the specification such as incoming material, work in process, and or finished goods.

Perform Inspection Checks

• Perform regular inspection on equipment and materials to verify that everything is operating properly.

• Maintain/calibrate lab supplies and equipment, so it continues to operate safely and at top performance.
• Report non-compliance findings and recommends next step solutions to the lead in a timely manner.
• The equipment is purchased so the resources to run the testing are also much needed for the success of the program.

Keep Work Environment Safe

• Aware of food safety risks and escalates found risks to lead/supervisor.

Compliance

• Assure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all operations and processes.

• Monitor compliance of all departments to regulatory policies, certifications, or customer requirements (FDA. SQF, Kosher, GFCO)
• Enter results of product evaluations and production checks into the computer database.
• There will not be any design of experiments, but will be required to follow detailed policies and procedures.

Hourly Rate: $19.05
