Lab Support Engineering is at the heart of a worldwide lab operations team providing 24x7 lab access, service and solutions support in multiple locations. Independent and flexible, team members are always ready to adapt to the changing daily priorities. They make an impact in all kinds of ways – from installing and maintaining servers and storage equipment within the fast-paced lab computing environment, through to providing top-level technical expertise and support to engineering departmental users. What’s more, they work with engineering teams to create hardware configuration test plans in support of software development.

What you’ll achieve
As a Lab Support Engineer 2

  • Ensure lab orderliness, maintains accurate hardware inventory records and processes best practice procedures for lab operations.
  • Ensure proper cable standards for labeling and rack placement
  • Take proactive approach to discover and resolve problem when working on equipment
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Be resourceful and collaborate with team members
  • Power, networking, cabling, ESM changes, Infoblox change

This is a local position you have to be onsite.

  • Essential Requirements

  • Bachelors College degree or 2-4 years equivalent work related experience
  • 2-3 years experience with Dell server, VMware, and SAN technology
  • Good knowledge of multiple OS (redhat, sles, windows, Unix, linux)
  • Good knowledge of hosts, switches, fabric zoning, iscsi setup, HBA setup
  • Good networking skills
  • Customer Service relations
  • Collaborate with team members
