WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

First and foremost, you are passionate about knitted textiles, material futures and sustainability. You will have experience with knit techniques, yarn, textile technologies and knowledge of product creation. You will also have a strong aesthetic sensibility and excel at translating consumer insights into concepts. Working collaboratively with your colleagues, you employ your design mind, creativity and technical skills to build knit design solutions for footwear. You will be a self starter, highly motivated with a problem solving approach, you will be capable of producing high-quality work on a deadline. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Knit Designer 1 in the London studio you will be constantly curious and bring a new perspective in knitted textile design. You will fuse high creativity with hands one make to build future forward boundary pushing knit designs for footwear that reflect Nike's design philosophy. You will also build and present your design intent to various audiences across the business.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a Knit Designer 1 for Footwear you will work very closely with the Code Knit Design team and the NXT Knit design studio. You will also collaborate with the greater design community, footwear design, digital design and Materials design. You will work with product creation teams that include engineers, programmers and yarn developers.

WHAT YOU BRING

DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

• BA Textile Design, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training– Specialism in Knit preferred
• Preferred 1-2 years design experience
• Understanding of hand flat knitting, structure and yarn.
• Basic knowledge of M1 plus (related to Stoll CMS) is preferred
• Knowledge of fully fashioned knitting
• Good understanding of consumer and creative culture
