If you are looking for a hotel with something different and some history to work in, then Leckford Abbas, our Place in the Hampshire Countryside could be the place for you. The Abbas is not only a hotel set in breathtaking countryside within the Leckford Estate, and one of the Partnership owned hotels across the country which are run by Partners for Partners, it used to be the home of our Founder John Spedan Lewis.
Visitors to the Abbas can stay in Spedans old bedroom or sit out and enjoy the same views he saw when he was drawing up his plans for the Partnership, setting it up to be one of the longest running British companies.
What you can expect in this role?
Working in the hotel, you’ll be surrounded by a team of passionate and dedicated hospitality Partners to give our guests the best experience whether they are with us for the day or a longer stay. What is different about our guests though, is that they are Partners, their friends and family. As co-owners in the business, you’ll see this difference in the way your teammates and you approach your job and carry out your responsibilities.
You’ll be working closely with all of the kitchen brigade, being responsible for maintaining standards in the kitchen in food safety as well as cleanliness, stock rotation and efficient handling of deliveries.
The role also allows you hands-on experience in food preparation and handling, assisting the chefs with basic food preparation as well as making sandwiches for the guests and you will also receive ongoing training with progression opportunities if you want them.

In order to do well in this role you will need:
Good communication skills.
Great customer service skills
Proactive and flexible
Food Safety Level 2 (will be trained within 3 months).
Desired but not essential skills and experience:
Previous commercial kitchen experience including basic preparation of food items
