Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting delivery of our 5 Year Strategic Plan by providing project coordination and assurance for our growth initiatives.
  • Working with our Science leads to understand their propositions and provide project management to develop the roadmap to implementation
  • Support translation of science propositions into minimum viable products (MVP) and provide project management to track the MVP through its lifecycle from concept, to prototype, pricing, promotion, evaluation and launch.
  • Owning clarity, transparency and progress against the route to launch Project Plan including management of milestones, risks, actions, issues.
  • Understand and manage the synergies and dependencies within and between propositions to ensure that support services are engaged and deployed in a timely manner to ensure a smooth route to market
  • Provide active challenge to Science Leaders during development of propositions
  • Providing written and verbal updates to Senior Leaders to convey progress and recommendations
  • Supporting discussions of prioritization within and between propositions

What we’re looking for:

  • Drive, enthusiasm and passion to support swift, effective product and service launches
  • Strong listening skills with a view to understanding and translating scientific ideas and break these down into manageable actions
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Comfortable with challanging stakeholders, offering constructive feedback and support
  • Exposure to working with a range of stakeholders and translating requirements for a range of audiences
  • Exposure to turning new propositions through into new services and product

Desirable:

  • An understanding of the agri-food / science sector would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Prince2 or similar Project Management qualification is desirable, but not essential
  • Knowledge and experience of bringing products & services to market.
