As a Marketing Manager you are responsible for the marketing, branding and communication of INK Hotel Amsterdam and Restaurant PRESSROOM. You get a lot of freedom to set up creative campaigns, events and collaborations yourself. You are also responsible for monitoring the MGallery Brand Standards and rolling out global Brand Markers at hotel level and in the local market. You are part of a close Commercial Team (Sales, Marketing, Reservations) of a total of 5 people. You lead a Marketing Trainee and report to the Commercial Manager. In this role you will work closely with all departments within the hotel and you will be in regular contact with the Regional and Global teams of MGallery and Accor.  

Your main tasks are:

• You are responsible for developing the marketing plan and you have an active role in the implementation of the plans.
• You monitor that all visual and textual expressions – both internal and external – are in line with the relevant brand guidelines of MGallery and Accor.
• Managing and updating websites; both own website and all OTAs.
• You are responsible for the strategy and content creation of the social media channels of INK and PRESSROOM; you plan and supervise photo shoots, write catchy texts and create and analyze advertisements.
• By translating Global Brand Markers to the local market
• Follow developments and trends in the Amsterdam market in the field of marketing as well as among competitors. 
• Organizing and promoting events such as the monthly Bottomless Brunch, annual PINK event around Pride Week and various press events. You are responsible from start to finish: concept development and implementation, joining partners, budget control, internal communication promotion via online and offline channels and (partial) supervision of the event.
• You are looking for interesting partners and you develop collaborations with suitable parties in the local and international market.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and international journalists, bloggers and influencers to create maximum exposure for our campaigns.
• Handling all press and media requests in the field of barters, interviews, photo & video shoots and collaborations. 
• You manage a full-time Marketing Trainee.
• You manage external agencies in the field of graphic design and website optimization.

Work Experience

For this position we are looking for someone who can work independently, is creative and can multitask well. You easily make contacts and make effective use of contacts to arrange things. You actively look for trends by speaking with colleagues and adopt trends in your own work. In addition, you are good at planning and able to keep an overview.

Furthermore you have:

• At least a completed HBO education
• At least 3 years of work experience in a commercial and/or (event) marketing position 
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of (online) marketing and experience with drawing up and executing marketing plans
• Affinity with catering / hotel industry
