We are looking for a talented individual to join the Information and Analytics team, working to support the various teams across the business with their reporting needs. The role will suit a proactive individual who enjoys multitasking and problem solving.

The role itself is hands-on, and you will enjoy working at pace in a lively environment. As you develop in your role, you will have plenty of opportunity to demonstrate how you can turn complex information into meaningful insights that helps drive business performance. Being able to build strong relationships - at multiple levels and between functions - is critical to success in this role.

You will be partially based at Marston’s offices in central Wolverhampton with some opportunity to travel. Due to the current situation, you may initially be working remotely from home for some of the time.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside business teams to design, build and implement dashboards and other automated/self-service reports.
• Developing, maintaining and continually improving the BI reporting suite.
• Delivering inductions and training to new users of the reporting suite.
• Getting involved with data flow development, to ensure that reporting requirements are met.
• The ability to analyse and interpret data into a ‘user friendly’ format that others will understand will be essential.
• Develop a relationship with various teams and provide insight on data relevant to them.

The ideal candidate should:

• Be keen to pursue a career in Business Intelligence. This is a junior role, so ideally you are in the early stages of your career or have recently graduated with a relevant placement year.
• Have experience or strong awareness of Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
• Experience of SQL server, SQL Server Analysis Services and DAX desirable but not essential.
• Multi-site Hospitality, Retail or FMCG experience is desirable but not essential.
• Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Have the ability to meet deadlines on a regular basis.
• Have good communication and presentation skills.
• Possess good analytical skills.
