The Retirement Plan Analyst will be responsible for the accounting and administration of employee retirement benefits.
• Administer company 401(k) and Deferred Compensation programs
• Perform timely deposits of contributions and loan payments for all payroll cycles weekly
• Reconcile all retirement plan payments to the General Ledger. Communicating any reconciling differences to the Accounting Department, 401k Provider, Auditor, Controller and Management
• Manage all weekly retirement plan interfaces. Validate file totals, and analyze all interface error reports
• Manage System Readiness. Ensuring the data quality and system configuration of all retirement plans in the HRIS systems. Provide system requirements, overseeing testing to ensure the accurate administration of plans
• Manage all retirement plan inquiries. Resolving all Company, Provider and employee inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
• Manage the Trustee to Trustee Asset Transfer Process. Prepare, identify and validate all reporting and plan needs pertaining to transfers, and the implementation of a new 401k plan
• Prepare and validate all reports for all 401(k) Benefit audits. Lead the audit, and coordinate all meetings with Legal, Controller, External Auditor
• Manage and Perform all Year- End Audits , True Up and 401(k) non-discrimination testing reporting requirments
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Bachelor degree plus two years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with retirement plan administration
• Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, audits, and reporting
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite and software applications related to job function; Working knowledge in Excel, v look-ups and pivot tables required; Experience with macros a plus
• Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
• Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• Critical nature of this job may require extended hours
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
