As an IT Systems Engineer Lead within the Enterprise Systems Continuity Mainframe Services team, you'll perform software maintenance, engineering, testing and installation.  You'll also engineer, evaluate and design software deployment strategies, management processes and other components. These duties will be done within assigned technology areas as needed.  Additionally, you'll perform research and development efforts pertaining to implementation of new features and capabilities within mainframe hardware and software. You'll partner with the subject matter expert on these efforts and help maintain technical roadmaps and assist in upgrade forecasting.  The following technological disciplines are additional assets to performing this role: JES2, SMPE, GDPS. #LI-Remote

Must have qualifications

Associate's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline, Math or other related field of study and a minimum of six years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems.

In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems may be accepted.

Preferred skills

IBM z/OS Operating System and its components such as GDPS, JES2, WLM, VTAM, and DFSMS

Managing software settings in Parmlibs, HCD and databases 

Knowledge and skill in use of JCL, TSO/ISPF, IOF, Sysview, and z/OS Commands and System utilities are a must.

$110,000-$128,000/year
