As an experienced IT Systems Engineer Consultant in the Distributed Computing and Storage product organization, you'll partner closely with your team, vendors, and other organizations to design, integrate, and manage Progressive’s Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) products. In addition, you'll provide support for Progressive’s current SDDC infrastructure. You'll also actively participate on projects or work efforts to mature Progressive’s SDDC capabilities.

Must-have qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline, Math or other related field of study and a minimum of eight years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures, and operating systems
• Instead of a degree, a minimum of ten years related experience listed in above bullet

Preferred skills

• Solid experience with Storage products, such as Block Storage, File Storage, Object Storage, and Data Protection
• Extensive experience with Compute products, such as Windows OS, Linux OS, distributed server hardware and virtualization, etc.
• Proven ability to lead and influence others in a team-oriented environment
• Demonstrated proficiency to create and maintain automation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation 

• Salary: $125,368-$162,241/year depending on position level and experience
• Gainshare bonus up to 40% (depending on position level) of your eligible earnings based on company performance
