Frasers Group are currently looking for an IT Service Desk Senior to join us at our Help Desk Team. JOB DESCRIPTION

At the Frasers Group all aspects of IT are managed in house which means the opportunities to learn and pickup new skills comes around daily. Successful candidates are provided with learning material to further their knowledge and the Frasers group will even pay for any certification exams. IT Support Analysts are also involved in many IT projects from server migrations, store network role outs right over to developing new algorithms for our automated robots in our warehouses. You will be an essential part of an ever-growing global support team currently 60 strong.   

The responsibility.  

As part of this role you will take responsibility of IT support queries that come from our head office and stores across the UK and beyond:  

  • Must be team focused and be able to communicate with colleagues for support and offering advice.  
  • Provide IT support to all aspects of the business via our phone and ticket systems and be able to log detailed but concise information about each ticket.  
  • Proactively monitor, fault tracking and problem management to ensure optimum service availability.  
  • Assist the broader IT teams with preparation of hardware/software for implementation.  
  • Must be friendly and approachable.  
  • Write and update technical documentation to ensure the team is kept up to date with knowledge.  
  • Work independently and as part of a small team.  
  • Own end user tickets right through to resolution.  
  • Work a shift pattern between the hours of 7am and 9pm. Which included weekend work 1 in 4 weeks. (9hr days with an hour lunch or 8.5hr days with 30 mins lunch.  
  • On-Call 1 in 16 weeks (business critical calls only).  

QUALIFICATIONS

The person.  

  • At least 2+ years working in an IT Helpdesk environment as an Analyst. 
  • Experience of scripting and querying with PowerShell.  
  • Knowledge of SQL.  
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP etc.  
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking systems.  
  • Experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems.
