Responsibilities
About the Team: Enterprise continuously strives to modernize our solutions to keep pace with the competitive market and the dynamic needs for data across the company’s technology solutions and business functions. Our team is responsible for executing the technology portion of the Data Strategy IT pillar. Over the next 24-36 months, this team will work closely with technology leaders, the Data & Analytics business team and industry partners to implement new solutions for data reporting and analytics, data governance and management, and data engineering. The Data Governance Solution Administration team within Data Engineering will be responsible for the implementation, administration, performance and roll out of our Master Data Management tool from Informatica. This tool will allow us to catalog, cleanse, enrich and manage our data so we can better understand our customers, vehicles and business and make that data accessible to our next generation of applications. This work is reflective of a significant technology inflection point as it reflects moving our data solutions from a back-office function primarily supporting reporting to one in which our data assets are the core representation of the state of our business. As the Senior Manager Enterprise Data Lake Administration, you will lead a high performing team of diverse technologists to implement and operationalize new data management capabilities. You will be turning an ocean full of data into assets that will allow us to better manage the digital, customer, and product experiences providing value across all functional areas of the business. You will work with data owners and stewards to develop policies to ensure data changes and updates occur in a timely, coordinated, and controlled manner. Success in this role is characterized by ongoing team development, continuous improvement, and providing clear communication to internal and external stakeholders.
Developing a deep understanding of the business objectives across EHI and building strong relationships will be essential to success in this role. Qualifications
Required:
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
8 or more years of related experience
Experience with data management, data governance, or data quality.
Experience in agile methodology and CI/CD principles
Experience Operationalizing Solutions and ensuring they can operate at scale and with high availability and resiliency.
Experience in people management activities, including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance and salary review.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data for effective story telling
Proven leadership, results orientation, and self-motivation traits
Superb communication skills – both written and verbal with the ability to engage an audience across a broad range of technical expertise and/or business acumen
Demonstrates a high degree of collaboration; works well with others as it relates to generating ideas
Demonstrated ability to quickly comprehend a broad array of initiatives to direct Project Scope, Requirements Gathering and Change Management to meet changing Business and IT objectives
Prior success mentoring and developing IT professionals and leaders
Proficient knowledge of project management concepts, from planning and inception, through implementation and support
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
Experience in data warehousing concepts and techniques
