Purpose

The Project Manager should be aware and aligned of the overall objective and strategy set by the Leadership for the undertaken project. He/She is responsible for ensuring that project members understand what is expected of them and what are dependencies between each area. Contributes to the overall success of the WBG IT in Mexico by ensuring that the specific project goals, plans and initiatives are carried out in timely manner and complied with in accordance with current internal regulations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Responsible for planning and overseeing project milestones and activities. Needs to be aligned with PMO, IT Leadership and Vendors.

Ensures that all stakeholders are aware of the project plans/milestones and action items .

Cost Management. Present the Budget proposal in IT Cosejo. Work and Align with IT leadership and PMO.

Review and track different Change Requests raised. Report to PMO and IT Management.

Facilitating / moderating reunions and communications within team and with other stakeholders

Continuous communication with Vendors.

Continuous communication with Product Owner. Highlighting and assisting POs with the different business dependencies and action items.

Continuous communication with Scotia Technology Team – IT Leadership,Stream Leads, local team and IT team located in other geographic areas like Toronto/NY etc.

Maintaining an open and collaborative team environment for members to share progress, impediments and frustrations

Mentoring team on best practices and standards to follow in the project

Make team aware of backlog readiness, continuous delivery and success metrics

Removing impediments or guiding the teams to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment

Timely escalations to IT Management and PMO . Ensuring problems get resolved and issues are addressed at the right level.

Working together with PMO for status reporting to leadership .

Leading Business Training,Demos and Sign Offs on important project artifacts

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in analytical subject (preferably with technological and/or operations background)

Minimum of 3 Years of working experience as a Technology Project Manager

Strong knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodology

PMP Certification preferred.

Scrum Master Certification preferred.

Hands on with different tools and platforms like Jira,Confluence, ALM, Service Now, MS Office , MS Project, Jenkins, Github etc. Knowledge about CIAD.

Must be proficient in written and spoken English
