Integration Solutions US Medical Technology - IT Principal

The job profile for this position is Integration Solutions IT Principal, which is a Band 5 Career Track Role.

As an IT Principal in Integration Solutions for US Medical Technology, this team member will be an engineering innovator within the organization and provide thought leadership focused on next generation integration patterns and reporting to the IT Strategy Senior Director within US Medical Technology organization. This role will require a passion and deep technology knowledge with hands-on development experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and generating consensus around solution architectures for large scale platforms with a range of cutting edge technologies. The role will be measured by impact on overall technology footprint complexity and movement towards target state where assets are integrated through modern services and APIs

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform technical research and assessment to make recommendations on potential solutions to meet business need within constraints and budgets
• Create end-to-end solutions that maximize alignment with target states and reuse of IT assets
• Work with architects and delivery teams to generate consensus and build scalable technology products that meet business requirements (i.e. functional, performance, technical, etc.), testing strategies, release processes, and steer the technology strategy towards target state
• Drive technological transformation in line with the broader US Medical organization and business strategy
• Develop a deep understanding of the key business drivers to validate that initiatives and any associated changes within the desired targets
• Guide engineering solutions teams as they build and implement integration solutions and services
• Develop and refine a multiyear Technology Modernization roadmap focused on reducing technology complexity, replacing point-to-point interfaces, building and updating services for multiple publishing/consuming assets, and driving the implementation across multiple portfolio and platform teams
• Be a technology thought leader that can influence internal peer deliver organizations, and effectively utilize external partner delivery teams to drive/deliver towards target state
• Engineering innovator that can grow technology talent while working in a wide range of technologies such as building APIs, streaming and near real time data exchange services

Required Experience / Qualifications:

• 10+ years in inspiring, coaching, building and growing highly performant large software engineering teams
• 5+ years in leading, building and managing large Enterprise Applications in Hybrid cloud environments in AWS and OpenShift

Desired Experience / Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience building on premise and cloud-based message broker applications for integrating applications across a large enterprise organization
• 5+ years’ experience with building modern applications using microservices architecture on the Cloud using server less architecture
• 5+ years' experience in transitioning large organizations to Agile Methodology, CI/CD, test automation and full stack engineering
• Innovative thinker who brings passion into building engineering platforms and mastering new technologies
