Greggs’ ongoing success and growth is becoming increasingly reliant upon technology and an exciting agenda lies ahead for IT & Business Change. We’re continually improving our internally-built customer and retail products as well as a wide portfolio of third party solutions delivering value to all parts of the business.

As we move into 2022, we’re changing our operating model. Building on the success of our product-aligned teams which are delivering and continually improving our world-class customer, retail and business intelligence products, we are now implementing business-aligned teams (BATs) to complement these.

Working to the principles of Scrum, the BATs will partner with the business to agree goals, prioritise work and engage with underpinning internal teams and third parties to build momentum and deliver safe and secure technology-enabled value into the business.

Our new BATs will build on and strengthen existing relationships with functions right across Greggs and ensure the IT services that support these functions are fit for purpose. Managing demand coming in and prioritising work to ensure the right things get done in the right order will be a core role of the BATs who will proactively manage portfolios of applications and services supported by underpinning teams including SAP, our ERP that underpins many core activities, Solutions and Development, Platforms and Infrastructure and Business Change teams.

As a vertically integrated organisation, our value chain relies on great underpinning services. This BAT will focus on Procurement, Finance and other corporate functions.

Salary

£25,000 to £40,000 depending on experience

Work Pattern

40 hours per week, our working hours are usually Monday- Friday however we are open to discuss flexibility with regards to this working pattern with the successful candidate. You may be required to work alternative hours to fulfil business needs.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and support IT services and applications in the portfolio in the context of agreed vision, priorities and standards.

The responsibilities of the role will be achieved through:

• Developing and maintaining an understanding of all services and applications in the portfolio.
• Creating and executing management plans for all services and applications in the BAT’s portfolio to ensure they remain fit for purpose, safe and secure.
• Building partnerships and collaborating with business colleagues in the designated business area(s).
• Providing second/third line application support response for service affecting issues within the portfolio.
• Supporting the BAT Lead in the management, processing and delivery of the team’s backlog.
• Working within the agreed sprint cycle and supporting the BAT Lead in the continuous improvement of ways of working.
• Embracing the architectural principles and apply these to how applications and services are managed and in how new solutions are developed.
• Maintaining information about the portfolio’s applications and services in Greggs enterprise architecture system to ensure landscape-wide visibility.
• Supporting the BAT Lead and business in the development of opportunities and cases for change.
• Collaborating with other BAT Support Analysts to develop the chapter and with other team leads to continually improve process, patterns of working and hand offs.
