ENGIE are recruiting for an IT Operations Analyst. This role can be based anywhere in the UK as a hybrid worker. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
Working hours will be either 6:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00 and there is a need for the occasional Saturday shift to be worked (between hours of 7.00am to 15:00).
As IT Operations Analyst you'll assist with the proactive monitoring and patch management of EQUANS(UK) IT Services across a multi-tenant environment.
What will you deliver?
- Ensure that EQUANS UK IT Services are being proactively & re-actively monitored
- Server/Lan/Wan patching within the defined patching windows
- Ensure scheduled review of Back-Up logs, taking the necessary steps to address failures
- Take ownership, escalate and manage incidents end to end to ensure quickest service restoration time

- Responsible for the management of 3rd party suppliers and internal teams to ensure that downtime notice or planned maintenance is communicated to the wider IT Team
- Ensure a series of defined proactive daily checks are undertaken with appropriate action taken when required
- Responsible and accountable for correct escalation of incidents to the appropriate 3rd party provider or internal resolver group

Who are we looking for?
- Strong ability to diagnose server or network alerts, events, or issues
- Knowledge and experience of system and network infrastructures such as LAN and WAN network technologies, server virtualisation, enterprise storage area network (SAN) and backup, enterprise performance and fault monitoring tools
- Previous experience managing and supporting network and server infrastructures
- Experience working with data centre technology with an emphasis on Network and Service Operations Centres (NOC / SOC)
- Experience of use and configuration of patching and monitoring technology
- Experience working with ITIL methodology
- ITIL certification
- Network & Security and Microsoft Server qualifications
