Responsibilities
Enterprise Fleet Management API Platform Management team is focused on the development, implementation, and operational support of the API Management platform enabling a holistic API strategy. As the Manager, you will coordinate, lead, and mentor a team of engineers who are focused on the development, delivery, and support of Enterprise Fleet Management’s next-generation API platform.
You will be responsible for determining time and resources needed to complete assignments, and will assist team members in prioritizing and completing assigned tasks and projects where needed. You will also be responsible for people management activities, including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance and salary reviews.
Strong communication and planning skills will be imperative to effectively manage resource responsibilities across projects that span multiple business units. You will be responsible for implementing changes to improve the overall effectiveness of the team, along with enforcing quality standards for products and services. Lastly, you will be responsible for ensuring that service levels are being met, and will lead continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future to work
6+ years of related experience (this can include people management experience, IT experience, API experience, etc.)
2+ years of experience managing an IT team, to include interviewing and hiring, developing strong performers, and conducting performance and salary reviews
Experience with AWS, Azure, or a cloud-hosted environment
Experience with and/or strong knowledge of OpenAPI and RESTful services
Experience working with an API Management solution (e.g. AWS API Gateway or Mule)
Experience building or working with an extensive service catalog
Experience with and/or strong knowledge of Serverless solutions (e.g. AWS Lambda)
Must have the flexibility in schedule to accommodate after-hours response to incident-related managerial escalations when necessary
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field is preferred
Previous experience with Cherwell or other enterprise ITSM is preferred
Previous experience working in an agile-based development organization, including extensive use of JIRA (or similar products) for project, issue, and Sprint tracking, is preferred
Previous experience in vendor management is preferred
