Job Role Overview: 

In the role of IT Business Systems Analyst (Manufacturing), you will provide technical solutions, support and consultation for multiple manufacturing applications and business processes that align with OSIsoft PI (Process Information) and Microsoft technologies.

You will be developing and supporting applications used at multiple manufacturing facilities across the world. This position is a key member of the Eastman IT Manufacturing Delivery team supporting various manufacturing sites. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Develop/support applications using VB.Net, ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript, Windows Services, Web services, complex Microsoft SQL queries and stored procedures, VBA programming.
• Develop/support Manufacturing Systems using OSIsoft PI (Process Information) historian software (including PI tags, Process Book, AF Elements/Analyses/Event Frames/Notifications creation, AF configuration, PIVision custom widgets, PI WEB API programming).
• Develop, maintain, enhance, and support Manufacturing applications.
• Engage and consult with internal users to identify business needs.
• Recommend system architecture and application design.
• Contribute to all phases of a project lifecycle, from discovery to implementation.
• Perform root-cause analysis of issues and work on solutions to fix.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation.
• Provide consultation to IT peers, other IT functions, and business partners on functionality of multiple Manufacturing Systems. 

Skills: 

Minimum: (to be considered for this position): 

• Strong software development skills, knowledge of IT solutions and business processes.
• Working experience in major programming languages such as: C#, ASP.NET, HTML, Angular/Node JavaScript, SQL, WEB API etc.
• Experience with complex Microsoft SQL queries, stored procedures, and strong understanding of relational database concepts.
• Ability to write test scripts, test plans, integration test plans, UAT, training documents.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with minimal to no supervision or direction. 

Preferred: (preference given to candidates with following): 

· Experience with OSIsoft products including:

• PI Historian, PI AF, PIVision, Process Book, PI Builder, Datalink, PI AF SDK, PI SMT, Event Frames, Notifications, PI RDBMS, PI Visualization Suite, PI AF System Explorer Design, PI WEB API.
• Knowledge of Connectors, PI Integrator, Interfaces (PI-to-PI, PI OPC)
• General understanding of DCS (distributed control system) systems and shop floor applications, SAP integration with manufacturing related applications.
• Knowledge on devices, servers, and cloud (Azure, Google, AWS) environments.

Qualifications 

Education: 

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree. 

Experience:

• Minimum: 3-years+ as an IT Systems or Information Systems Analyst supporting Microsoft-based
• applications.
• Preferred: 5-years+ as an IT Systems or Information Systems Analyst supporting Manufacturing software applications (using OSI-PI software and Microsoft-based technologies).
