As the IT Business Partner for Automation and Assay Technologies, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with business leaders and driving key strategic digital solutions within the Small Molecule Drug Discovery organization. In partnership with business leaders and your IT Business Partner peers, you will understand current needs and future transformational technology directions. You will establish a digital strategy through ownership of the strategic road-mapping process.

Falling within the Leads Discovery & Optimization business function, the Automation and Assay Technologies organization consists of several high impact teams including but not limited to Compound Management, Core Automation, and High Content Imaging.

Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with key R&ED and IT leaders, particularly within the Small Molecule Drug Discovery and Leads Discovery & Optimization domains.
• Own the process to define an Automation and Assay Technologies digital strategy and roadmap.
• Build compelling business cases for digital capabilities in support of the digital strategy and roadmap. Articulate business value, ROI, and manage the definition of detailed requirements for those capabilities.
• Partner closely with a peer IT Business Partner to define the overall digital strategy for the Leads Discovery & Optimization organization.
• Collaborate with technical resources in the IT organization to ensure successful implementation of digital capabilities. Own the ultimate delivery of value to the scientific user community.
• Collaborate with support resources in the IT organization to provide responsive, sustainable support for systems and capabilities.

Requirements:           

• A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or technical domain is desirable.
• At least 7 years of experience in the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry is required.
• Experience working in a Research and Early Development environment, including laboratory operations, interactions with CROs and research partners, and digital strategy development.
• Experience with IT processes and operations, business process improvement, managing change, managing business communication.
• Experience managing the capture and analysis of business requirements in the life sciences domain.
• Experience building strong relationships with business leaders.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is highly desired.
