Job Purpose
This role will be responsible for being the global cross-segment functional/technical expert within the SFC Finance Technologies Team. Their scope includes partnering with experts and SME’s from Controllership and Corp Finance Functions, to define the finance applications strategy, deploy capabilities & contribute to building a connected ecosystem related to (but not limited) to General Accounting, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Technical Accounting, Treasury, In House Banking, Currency, Tax & Audit.
They will be a primary contact responsible for activating opportunities to partner with various finance teams & central functions across MGS (e.g. Intelligent Automation Hub, Analytics Open Hub, MGS Commercial, Enterprise Architecture, MGS DT Core Services); Unlocking efficiencies gains and optimization opportunities for the segment and global teams by deploying advanced technologies related to automation, analytics, AI and ML across finance processes at scale through standardization.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 5+ years experience in IT business partnership related roles.
- Previous experience working with ERP technologies (SAP, Oracle etc.) & good knowledge/background of deploying finance applications. Functional/technical expertise in Finance applications preferred.
- Experience managing IT projects, including leadership of remote / off-shore teams in line with industry best standards/methods such as Prince2, PMP & Agile.
- Experienced in working within global cross-functional teams, strong stakeholder and relationship management skillset.
- Good knowledge of industry trends related to finance technologies & applications, that can be applied to enable and support Mars finance functions.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Contribute to the development of the cross-functional finance technology strategy; partnering with experts and SME’s from Controllership and Corp Finance Functions, to define the finance applications strategy, deploy capabilities & contribute to building a connected ecosystem.
- Partner with finance leaders, business process owners, functional experts and key users to develop process and IT capabilities which are aligned with functional & segment strategies, support the strategic initiatives and programs that develop and/or deploy new global capabilities.
- Manage and own the functional road map including the creation of new process and IT capabilities aligned with internal and external best practice and emerging trends.
- Deliver and project manage enhanced finance application capabilities often partnering with niche/specialist 3rd party strategic partners, in line with functional roadmap.
- Provides a center of expertise for Finance analytics solutions, adhering to global standards, processes and common solutions across the enterprise.
- Identify opportunities to reduce portfolio complexity within Finance across all global, regional and local applications
