This position as IS Specialist is to help our business achieve its strategic objectives by enabling the delivery of new capabilities. As an information technology expert who can plan and design enterprise business solution to maximize business value, create flexibility for change and accelerate business outcome to help achieve digital finance transformation. This position is to provide leadership on developing solution proposals that will impact IT architecture. Solutioning is defining the architecture for an analysis or proposal across business, application, data (information & Integration) and technology architecture. Thus, candidates for this role will require a breadth of skills.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead Solution Design and development for SAP IT FICO projects.
• Articulate solution options and participate in technology evaluation and recommendations.
• Applies broader view to the solutions to support adoption of standard practices and reusability.
• The individual must possess strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills. This role also requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Provide technical subject matter expertise on accounting, Finance, SAP modules like MM,SD,FICO.
• Strong Application integration knowledge with other modules like WMD/Xsuite, DigiGST, Tax solutions etc.
• Strong database knowledge and very good at HANA Database.
• Lead the issue resolution process with globally located Caterpillar IT support teams and external partners.
• Share functional knowledge of IT solutions with business partners to support their operational performance.
• Collect and document functional requirements for new projects or system enhancements.
• Lead IT implementation projects – coordinate the delivery of work requests with various globally located Caterpillar IT teams and external partners.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or Equivalent education with at least 8 Years of experience (MCA, B.E / B Tech / M Tech)
• Experience in the following technologies SAP-FÏCO, SAP-MM, SAP-SD, WMD/Xsuite, DigiGST.
• 8 to 12+ years’ experience in various leadership roles in the planning, design and deployment of SAP’s financial solutions
• 8 to 12+ years’ experience in SAP FI/CO/AR/AP/Asset Management / Profitability Accounting/ Cost Center
• Involved with 4-5 End to End SAP Project Implementation & in-depth experience on SAP finance projects.
• In-depth finance business experience as a consultant working on SAP planning, design and implementation projects i.e. must have worked with the business and not only IT
• To be able to effectively communicate and relate to Finance senior and executive management at a client
• Strong desire to stay on the cutting edge of SAP, including Simple Finance and Suite on HANA
• Lead a team of Finance specialists both onsite and offshore and assist in configuring the solution
• Make recommendations on strategic direction and roadmap for the use and implementation of the SAP applications, as well as integration with third party systemsConduct work effort estimation and develop work plans and Provides technical leadership to the team on Performance related tasks such as test planning, data gathering, tuning and assessment
• Experience working with multiple vendors and strong accounting/Finance implementation/support experience.
• Sound knowledge of SAP implementation projects.
• Experience with designing and configuring the SAP FICO system
• Good communication and Interpersonal skills.
• Candidate should be versed with all components of architecture stack such as Business / Process, Application, Information & Integration (Data) And Technology.
