THE EXPERIENCE

In today’s multifaceted environment, it is an exciting time to be a part of the Supply Chain Team.

 

What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Supply chain team?

 

This position is responsible for developing outstanding global strategic sourcing plans, leading strategic contract negotiations and elevating key internal and external partnerships to support the Global Logistics Services Categories, including transportation and warehousing.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

STRATEGY

-  Develop a clear multi year category strategy and execution plan, including all aspects of total value, including innovation, sustainability, resilience, total cost optimization, automation and speed.

-  Define total value metrics and tracking methodology for key supplier relationships.

-  Develop cost models and drive fact based cost forecasts and budget mentorship for handled spend.

-  Update annual Category/Supplier Segmentation for Freight, Warehousing and eCommerce, and develop supplier engagement models accordingly

-  Negotiate strategic supplier contracts and support and track key global Savings and Growth initiatives

-  Achieve or exceed the annual savings goals.

-  Collaborate in Logistics Network review and optimization

-  Lead Supplier Relationship Management for global logistics suppliers

-  Support Logistics value and innovation projects with key Customers

-  Support Regional Procurement Logistics teams, elevating any challenges with global suppliers

 

RELATIONSHIPS AND ENGAGEMENT:

-  Lead the Global Indirect Procurement Logistics network to ensure category governance and facilitate sharing of Best Practices.

-  Develop positive relationships with category stakeholders and engage senior leaders to elevate procurement’s delivery against business priorities.

-  Elevate partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation, resilience and total value via customer of choice approach.

-  Lead strategic supplier top to top engagements and drive the SRM program with identified supplier partners

 

INNOVATION AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:

-  Drive innovation, automation and efficiency 

-  Develop and implement process improvements and reimagined initiatives in the category.

-  Contributor to the company’s renewable energy and sustainability initiatives and goals.

-  Monitor and track the external market and category trends to identify risks and opportunities

-  Participate in regional Innovation Initiatives

 

DIGITAL, DATA AND ANALYTICS

-  Perform detailed spend analysis, and apply advanced analytics methodologies to drive decisions

-  Develop cost models and drive fact based cost forecasts and budget mentorship for managed spend

-  Actively support the Global Procurement Digital Transformation.

 

RISK MANAGEMENT

-  Identify and assess category risks, develop/support risk mitigation plans.

REQUIREMENTS:

-  Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management

-  Logistics Procurement Experience from 5 to 10 years +

 

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: 

1.- Effective leadership and influence to drive change.

2. Ability to work cross functional and cross regional.

3. Business and Market Analysis.
