Job Description

Job title: iOS Engineer (Mobile engineer)

Location: Manchester city (Westminster House) Opposite Piccadilly Gardens. On return to the office, we'll be looking to work hybrid way with 1-2 days per week from home and from the office approx. 2-3 days per week (dependent on the week). We’re happy to offer flexible work schedules, for example start and finish times, or compressed hours!

The team

The Retail Lab mobile teams are fully agile and strive for perfection. As a part of the team, you'll have the opportunity to participate in internal Hackathons, coding challenges and bi-weekly platform meetings where the community shares knowledge.

You'll contribute to the technical leadership team's work of driving the technology and future of the platform. Working with the Strategy and UX/UI Design teams as well as customer organisations to architect, design, and implement solutions. You’ll also be crafting, developing, and producing mobile components and services; resolve, apply, and improve appropriate methodologies and toolsets for customers.

Who are we looking for?

A self- motivated experienced iOS mobile engineer with strong technical know-how from crafting, developing, and producing mobile components and services, stakeholder management working closely with strategy and UX/UI Design teams to architect, design and implement solutions and your passionate about educating less experienced developers.

The skills and background experience you’ll need to apply

  • Excellent knowledge of Swift and iOS SDK and experience in building mobile applications for iOS
  • Good understanding of architecture patterns, design principles, interface guidelines and best practices
  • Experience in writing unit tests, UI automation and CI/CD and automation tools
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Experience working in agile teams and familiarity with Jira/confluence, Git, Jenkins, Fastlane
