• The position is based in Pune, India and will require the candidate to work on Citi Private Bank’s Digital Platform

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements

• Identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions

• Utilize knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues

• Analyze information and make evaluative judgements to recommend solutions and improvements

• Conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code for design specifications

• Assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures

• Develop working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

• Ability to work independently, good communication skills, has experience in working on complex and medium to large projects.

Knowledge/Experience:

Overall development experience of3+ years. Hands on experience in application design & development in following technologies: Java/J2EE/RDBMS/Spring, Hibernate, RestFul Web services.

Skills Required:

• Over 3+ years of experience in enterprise Web application development using Java/J2EE technologies.

• Should have strong knowledge and hands on experience in JAVA (Version 1.8 or above) / J2EE / Spring boot / restful Web Services

• Strong Knowledge on Core Java, Spring, Spring boot, JPA,JDBC,Hibernate,Maven.

• Understand database design, Advanced in preparing SQL and writing stored procedures. Experience working in SQL Server is preferable but experience with other databases like MySQL/

• Experience of Agile Development Practices

• Should have hands on experience Java Junit testing using Junits/TestNG, Mockito.

• Should possess basic Unix/Linux knowledge to be able to write and understand basic shell scripts and basic Unix commands.

• Have basic experience in Data Preparation Tools Experience with CI/CD build pipelines and toolchain – Git, BitBucket, TeamCity, uDeploy, Artifactory, Jira Experience.

• Knowledge on webserver setup and configuration with reverse proxy/ssl setup etc (preferred nginx webserver) is a plus.

• Prepare documentation that describes deployment/installation, application flows etc..

• Ability to use modern IDEs such as VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse etc. is a plus

• Financial markets background is preferable but is not a must
