Job Description Summary

You'll lead and direct the development and delivery of conversion customer engagement marketing activity for Investments and Pensions, in order to achieve the agreed customer and commercial targets.

Job Description

At Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), we’re driven by a clear purpose - to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses, and communities. And as the UK's largest retail and commercial bank, we have a footprint that touches nearly every community and household in the UK.

Our brands, our services and our business span every aspect of banking and finance, including some of the biggest names on the UK's high streets. That gives us a big responsibility to support the UK economy, and we have a clear strategy to put customers first - and achieve our vision of becoming the best bank for customers.

The Financial Planning and Retirement (FP&R) team is a customer centre of excellence for Engagement and Conversion Marketing. The team is responsible for planning and delivering the marketing activity to help meet the needs of our customers across their long- and short-term Financial Planning needs; in a way which leverages our understanding of audiences, uses data to drive effective Demand Generation, developing strong propositions linked to audience and creating effective Conversion funnels to support the customer through their individual journey.

Working across our relationship brand(s) within the LBG portfolio, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to lead and direct the development and delivery of conversion customer engagement marketing activity for Investments and Pensions, in order to achieve the agreed customer and commercial targets.

Investments and Pensions are key strategic growth areas for LBG, supported by the recent acquisition of Embark Group, and in this role you’ll play a key role in capitalising on this growth and defining how we take new products to market, building our total investment and pension offering.

As an Investments Conversion Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll create a strategic plan to address individual product's objectives, but also understanding and leaning into cross product synergies, looking at the audience as a whole and putting the customer first.

You’ll oversee activity across a series of channels (from 1-2-1 to digital), working hand in glove with a number of teams in addition to the business unit (such as Analytics Interactions, Onsite Customer Engagement, and Group Transformation), as well as external agencies, in order to implement plans effectively and deliver best in class conversion customer engagement marketing.

As a Senior Manager, you’ll lead, inspire and manage a team of Marketing Managers and Assistant Marketing Managers across planning and delivery, to design and manage the full end to end customer marketing plans.

About you:

We’re looking for a senior leader who is passionate about the vision for our business, and who is engaging and has the gravitas to lead the realisation of that vision

Proven experience in establishing and leading teams is essential, with the ability to bring colleagues onboard who share the same enthusiasm for getting it right for our customers. Plus you’ll need to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • Data driven marketing: You’ll be an expert in data driven marketing, with a relentless focus on outcomes, with a strong track record in shaping and continually optimising activity to deliver improved performance

  • Team leadership: Leading and inspiring a team of marketing specialists to seamlessly deliver best in class campaigns

  • Strategic Planning: Proven experience in developing marketing plans that are rooted in customer insight and which maximise brand portfolio, to deliver customer and commercial objectives. You’ll be able to interpret and assimilate data effectively and drive plans to improve overall performance as a result

  • Influencing: Strong influencing skills across a senior and broad stakeholder network, with the ability to set and drive performance against shared objectives

  • Cultural fit: You’ll demonstrate strong characteristics across our leadership cultural values of: Proactivity; Resilience; Growth; Collaboration; EQ; Leadership; Agility; Bravery; and Curiosity

Having a Financial Services background is not essential, however having a sound understanding and/or interest in Retail Banking and a desire to apply and grow your skillset with us, will be.

Sound like your kind of place?

In return, as a multi-brand, multi-channel business, we have the scale and breadth to provide you with a diverse range of personal development and a career that’s enriching. We're dedicated to giving you opportunities and support to develop you both professionally and personally to optimise your potential.

We support the principles of agile working and will be pleased to consider applications from candidates seeking flexible working arrangements. The vacancy is London-based, and as a team we work flexibly following a hybrid working model.

We're also passionate about diversity and equal opportunity with industry recognition across gender, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQ+ and families. And just let us know if you need any reasonable adjustments made to our recruitment processes, and we'll try to accommodate them.

So if you’d like to be part of an inclusive, values-based culture focused on making a difference, we’d love to hear from you. Whatever your aspiration, you can also expect excellent benefits, including a discretionary performance-related bonus, private health cover, share schemes, and a generous pension contribution, along with the option to choose an additional cash lump sum (4% of salary) or pick from a wide range of industry leading benefits.

Together we make it possible - join us and you’ll be part of an organisation that values your contribution and empowers you to make a difference.

At Lloyds Banking Group, we're driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain recover. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. With us you'll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.

We're focused on creating a values-led culture and are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Together we’re building a truly inclusive workplace where all of our colleagues have the opportunity to make a real difference.
