The Financial Planning and Retirement (FP&R) team is a customer centre of excellence for Engagement and Conversion Marketing. The team is responsible for planning and delivering the marketing activity to help meet the needs of our customers across their long- and short-term Financial Planning needs; in a way which leverages our understanding of audiences, uses data to drive effective Demand Generation, developing strong propositions linked to audience and creating effective Conversion funnels to support the customer through their individual journey.

The Financial Planning and Retirement (FP&R) team is a customer centre of excellence for Engagement and Conversion Marketing. The team is responsible for planning and delivering the marketing activity to help meet the needs of our customers across their long- and short-term Financial Planning needs; in a way which leverages our understanding of audiences, uses data to drive effective Demand Generation, developing strong propositions linked to audience and creating effective Conversion funnels to support the customer through their individual journey.

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Planning Manager to help shape the Customer Plan for our Investment and Pensions products within LBG. You’ll take customer insight and performance analysis to build an efficient and effective communications ecosystem that helps our customers to meet their investment needs. From audience and channel design, to proposition development, you’ll design and support the end-to-end customer marketing plans.

Investments and Pensions are key strategic growth areas for LBG, supported by the recent acquisition of Embark Group, and in this role you’ll play a key role in defining how we take new products to market, growing our total investment offering.

As an Investments Conversion Marketing Planning Manager, you’ll:

  • Develop Audience Strategies, to champion the customer from all perspectives, as well as creating market leading propositions, contact strategies, and take to market plans.

  • Work closely with the internal stakeholders to manage the development of the conversion marketing plans for investments to meet commercial targets, developing Performance dashboards and defining actions to build marketing contribution.

  • Monitor campaign performance and external market factors to continually review and refine plans and drive best possible results.

  • Manage the allocation of budget to support marketing plans, to ensure best possible return from investment, ensuring accurate and effective day to day budget management.

  • Be the primary business unit interface for day-to-day planning and key conduit for the Customer Conversion and Engagement team.

  • Have line management responsibilities

About you:

An experienced marketing professional, you’ll also need to have the ability to lead and manage a team, including proven experience in coaching, developing others and delegating. Plus you’ll need to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • Proven direct to customer marketing planning experience, preferably in a large scale complex organisation.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate a strategy to all colleagues.

  • Ability to handle complex data and translate into simple customer focused marketing plans and actions that drive performance.

  • An understanding of marketing communications development, with experience in creating and owning market leading propositions.

  • Budget Management, across pan channel Marketing programmes.

  • Able to work at pace and under pressure

  • Strong judgement and the ability to deal with ambiguity and manage through change.

Having a Financial Services background is not essential, however having a sound understanding and/or interest in Retail Banking and a desire to apply and grow your skillset with us, will be.
