Operates and maintains an accurate and efficient finished confectionery flavor pipeline that supports global gum and mints production to meets affiliate customer service objectives. Communicates effectively with affiliate supply planners to ensure flavor demands are accurately forecasted and met.  Supports Inventory Control accuracy and Supply Chain management of NFI raw materials; packaging materials; in-process materials; finished flavors; and in-transit cargo.  Provides critical back-up coverage to the Outbound Coordinator and freight forwarder to maintain the highest level of outbound shipping customer service.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in operations, scheduling and/or logistics related environment.  Completed degree could be substituted for work experience.
• Expertise in managing inventories, Demand Planning and Outbound Planning is necessary
• Experience using SAP, MES, and Microsoft Excel

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Outbound Demand Planning -

• Confirms affiliates flavor demands in Atlas and ensures Sales Orders and POs match in system
• Owns customer service relationship with affiliate by providing timely and effective communication to avoid any potential service delays and/or cuts 
• Owns developing and communicating re-stock plan of finished flavors when necessary
• Maintains schedule agreements with affiliate sites in Atlas 
• Monitors and manages requested delivery dates vs. planned for finished flavor orders
• Maintains Ship Schedule for NFI which is used to coordinate production and outbound shipping priorities
• Coordinates with Production Scheduler and Outbound Planner on production and shipping priorities
• Maintains reporting of CFR and additional customer service metrics as needed

Inventory Control and Management -

• Manages weekly cycle count and annual inventory count reconciliation process
• Manages weekly aging material process and coordination with QA and Production for testing and use of materials to minimize aged material loss
• Coordinate disposal of aged materials and works with Finance on cross charge of material disposals
• Ensures materials are moved transactionally in SAP/WMS per all disposal actions 
• Responsible for period end inventory close out transactions and issue resolution
• Monitors Gen-Zone and other miscellaneous storage locations in WMS system 

• Outbound Coordinator Backup –

• Serve as back-up for Outbound Coordinator to maintain business continuity when Outbound Coordinator is out of office. Requires Department of Transportation (DOT) / Hazardous Material (HazMat) certifications for Over the Road (OTR) Truck, Air and Ocean shipping. 
• Must be proficient in building container orders for Over the Road (OTR), Air and Ocean shipments, issuing Transfer Orders to Shipping associates; providing proper shipment labels and HazMat documentation; invoicing; goods issuing; and coordinating pickup and delivery of shipment with Expeditors (Freight Forwarder) or other carriers
• Will own smaller affiliate accounts to serve as primarily outbound planning point of contact to maintain skillset
