International Traffic Coordinator – Decatur, IL 
This is an exempt level position.
 
Position Summary:
The International Traffic Coordinator is responsible for arranging container shipments which involves booking freight, coordinating load schedules and reporting necessary export detail to US customs.  This will include working closely with the Commercial Managers and Documentation Customer Service Representatives, as well as specific ADM sales divisions to provide updated information on the status of past, present, and future shipments focus.
 
Job Responsibilities:
 

• Book export shipments strategically according to price, availability and customer service
• Match loaded containers with confirmed bookings
• Enter official Bill of Lading detail against specific shipments
• Generate necessary instructions for the steamship line
• Must be able to make decisions/judgment calls based on internal and external situations prioritized to meet customer expectations while maintaining a service orientated focus
• Must set priorities in order to meet deadlines and be able to handle a fast paced environment with constant change

 
Job Requirements:
 

• Bachelor Degree or minimum of 3-5 years of experience equivalent and prevalent to the position based on description required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) required
• The candidate must be able to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend and communicate, orally and in writing in order to effectively communicate in person or by phone
• Position requires standing, filing, bending, kneeling, keyboarding operations, sitting for extended periods of time and working on the telephone.  

Relocation is available with this position.
