We are experiencing high growth here at JD Sports with a 64% YoY uplift in group revenue for H1 2021 in comparison to H1 last year, so it's a very exciting time to join us as we continue to expand globally. 
 
In our online multichannel department in the UK alone, we've scaled up our headcount in the past year by 170 people and we are now looking to increase this by a further 120+ over the next 12 months to accommodate our growth. Outside of the UK, we’ve also been accelerating our growth throughout Europe from our local offices in Amsterdam and Alicante.

In our Multichannel department we cover everything in the online and digital space and run everything internally through our world-class inhouse functions spread acrosss: Digital Marketing (Paid Media, SEO, CRM, Affiliates, Influencers, Social, Content), Ecommerce (Online Trading, Online Visual Merchandising), Tech (Software Development FE/BE Stacks, App Development, Data, Security, UI/UX), and Studios (Design, Artwork, Retouch, Photography, Videography, Styling).

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a senior SEO Manager at JD you will manage the international SEO team, operating within a wider groups SEO team, to maximise organic search performance by optimising content on site, ensuring that the sites meet technical best practice and delivering a forward looking strategy for the international fascias (brands) within the group.  
Your role will be to maximise profitable traffic from the Organic Search channel across the international fascias within JD Sports Fashion Group PLC.  Working with the various Multichannel Leads and other senior SEO Managers (UK and Outdoors), you’ll be responsible for delivering against traffic & revenue targets, with the aim to improve the efficiency from the channel. 
 

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

-    Supervise a team of international SEO and content specialists, and develop into a high performing unit
-    Identify, develop & implement SEO strategies, ensuring we maximise our visibility throughout trading peaks
-    Develop strong relationships with department & channel Leads to ensure SEO is front of mind
-    Contribute to the group SEO leadership meetings & planning sessions
-    Work with our Head of SEO, and other Senior SEO Managers, to implement best practice technical changes
-    Work with our content marketing team to develop off-page campaigns
-    Reporting organic performance to senior stakeholders
 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE NEEDED

-    Strong knowledge of all aspects of SEO, including on-page, technical & link-building 
-    Data-driven and highly analytical
-    Understanding of Google Search Console, Google analytics, ahrefs & Screaming Frog. Experience using SEO Monitor, DeepCrawl, Supermetrics & Yext is advantageous. 
-    Excellent communications skills
-    Passion for SEO, fashion & ecommerce
