Key Criteria:

• CA / Chartered Accountant qualified
• Minimum 5 years professional experience in the Internal Audit field
• Experience from the Manufacturing sector is highly preferred
• AWARE THAT THE ROLE IS BASED OUTSIDE OF INDIA, MUST BE WILLING TO BE BASED ON SITE IN NIGERIA, WEST AFRICA
• Exposure of carrying out manufacturing sector specific audits is also highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures compliance with internal regulations and established control protocols
• Develops new internal control frameworks and procedures
• Produces documentation, including reports, statements, records, and memos to gather information
• Reconciles documentation with inventory or assets to ascertain accuracy
• Completes standard paperwork and questionnaires to confirm internal controls
• Collaborate with different departments to complete and provide updates on the audit process
• Prepares internal records, reports and documentation related to audits
• Presents summarised findings concerning audit results and trends for internal groups
• Analyses audit results to determine methods for increasing profits and decreasing unnecessary costs
• Makes recommendations for the best ways for a company to avoid fraud and reduce waste
• Assesses best financial practices for an organisation and makes relevant, informed suggestions
• Keeps up-to-date on audit procedures and regulations
• Work well with other Internal Audit team members and colleagues to achieve company goals
• May work extra hours during busy audit seasons or to meet certain milestones
