The Lead BPM System Architect will be an integral member of the delivery team of our Office of Intelligent Automation (OIA) at Cigna. Incumbent will provide architecture and design services and ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional requirements. The architect will also provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship for the application development team
Ability to present to all senior management levels on key automation and architectural decisions
Solid understanding of reuse and portability in terms of enterprise solutions seeking to determine and develop repeatable, efficient and optimal ways of implementing PEGA
Advanced knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and all PRPC design and implementation features
Solid understanding of reuse and portability in terms of enterprise solutions seeking to determine and develop repeatable, efficient and optimal ways of implementing Pega
Maintain PRPC knowledge on latest versions, features, etc.
Contribute to development activities, complex development
Develop best practices for implementing selected strategic applications minimizing the need for customization while maximizing reusability
Work with the cloud and application teams to ensure that deployed strategic applications are performant and implemented by following best practices
Forward thinking strategy and vision to support business direction and leveraging of various technical solutions that supports business direction
Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, UAT and production deployment
Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution
Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with Engagement Leader to size and manage scope and risk
Demonstrate mindfulness of when to integrate with other products versus using PRPC for end to end solution and present the best architecture to meet desired needs
Conduct product work reviews with team members
Required Experience / Qualifications:
7 years of progressively responsible experience or Masters with 4 years of experience in building and implementing model-driven, enterprise-level business solutions
Advanced knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and all PRPC design and implementation features
Advanced knowledge of Pega Robotics
Automated processes and integration experience with web sites, desktop applications, mainframe emulators, ERP software and CRM software
Expertise in software development phases including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business centric and process based applications
Expertise in a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, WebSphere or Weblogic, J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java), .Net, Oracle, DB2, and MS/SQL
Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) required

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
