Support Agency Executive, Client Service Agents, and Producers by planning and directing operations of the service department of local agency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1.Assist Agency Executive in reaching income and expense plan.
2.Supervise support team to assist producers, including setting goals, training, education, progress and reviews.
3.Effectively market insurance risks by maintaining contacts within the insurance industry so as to remain aware of trends, regulations, special programs, product lines and pricing policies.
4.Deliver timely, continuing advice and professional counsel to insureds through verbal and written communications.
5.Maintain sound, efficient procedures to coordinate work assignments, provide timely services and meet internal operating standards.
6.Service book of business as necessary.
7.Review all expiration and monthly reports and be responsible for their completion.
8.Due to changing business conditions, management may assign additional duties or functions to this position.
9.Coordinate referrals to insure quick response and maximum closing ratio.
Required Skills and Competencies:

1.High School diploma or equivalent
2.Five years of agency experience in appropriate department business
3.Demonstrated ability to supervise associates
4.State issued agent\'s license
5.Superb interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
6.Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products
7.Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
Desired Skills:
1. Knowledge of BB&T Insurance\'s automation system or ability to learn quickly
