This position will sit onsite in the Stockley square office in Uxbridge, London.

Key Qualifications

  • You will be detail oriented, organised and concise.
  • Acquisition of new concepts comes naturally to you and you will have a proven track record that includes design and development of innovative instructional content & strategies, training related project management, and possibly even classroom and virtual classroom facilitation experience.
  • The Instructional Designer is literate in a wide range of content creation subject areas including graphics and web design.
  • You are an authority in instructional design standards and e-learning development tools with at least 5 years experience in the field
  • You have experience guiding or developing learning experiences at a national or global scale
  • You can effectively work in a dynamic, global environment with very tight deadlines, balance multiple deliverables at once, and consistently deliver high quality work.
  • Full fluency in English + an additional EU language.

Description

An Instructional Designer (ID) for the Operations Training Development team works as part of a core, cross-functional project team and is responsible for driving needs assessments and curriculum development processes to provide best- in-class, learner focused instructional designs that meet with the business need. With this knowledge they work to build and improve regional and global Service Training strategies. They partner with Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders to plan and scope requirements for AppleCare curricula whilst maintaining a broad view of all training offerings and associated strategies.The ID works both in teams and independently to craft innovative blended training solutions. They capture requirements, build scalable training designs, develop and deploy content, and evaluate results. They are expected to review and contribute to content built by other team members, as well as assist in Design Reviews, Pilot deliveries, and other facilitator support forums. They collaborate with other organisational functions on strategic, learner focused enhancements to the organisation’s Tools and Programs.The ID establishes and sustains cross-functional relationships with curriculum facilitators, channel service managers, program managers, AppleCare readiness engineers and other cross-functional partners. They champion training content to drive measurable and strategic improvement in AppleCare’s Key Performance Indicators.

Education & Experience

Advanced Degree in Instructional Design or equivalent relevant experience
