International Compliance team is looking for natural builders to join an exciting team defining a global roadmap to design and deliver impactful solutions for Amazon retail team World Wide.

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence Engineer with a passion to work with complex problems to create the best user experience for all stakeholders. You are passionate about creating products from scratch, providing insights from data, and working with large data sets. You are organized, efficient and insist on the highest standards. You are an independent self-starter who thrives on owning projects. You will be required to make important decisions on the technical design of the project: data pipelines, data models, features, and roadmaps.

The primary responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Engineer include:
· Create mechanisms for non-technical stakeholders to self-serve data
· Scope and deliver strategic projects to accelerate the success of International Compliance
· Look for opportunities to simplify and automate redundant processes
· Translate the requirements of the stakeholders into technical requests to the partner tech teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
· 3+ years of relevant work experience with ETL development, data modeling, data warehousing and applying analytics
· Strong SQL skills. Experience with databases such as MySQL, Redshift, Oracle, or similar
· Basic experience with a scripting language: Python, R, C++, Java, Ruby, or similar
· Experience in data visualization tools using Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI or similar
· Strong self-starter, confident to operate relatively autonomously
· You have strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skill. You are fluent in English.
· Good analytical skills, a passion for metrics and figures, you have very high attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Familiarity with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift, and RDS
· Expert in SQL query optimization
· Experience with Python
