Job Purpose and Impact

The Innovation Lead, Beefin Cargill Animal Nutrition North America, will champion the innovation pipeline and commercialization of customer solutions (which could include: sustainability, digital, or nutrition/health technologies) with technical, marketing and commercial leaders. In this role, you will execute business innovation growth projects. You will drive process improvements and utilize tools and metrics to support business innovation strategies.

Key Accountabilities

• Partner with relevant stakeholders to execute an innovation pipeline aligned with regional business growth strategies and report on innovation earnings and support business case development and delivery.
• Build strong customer relationships at key accounts and identify customer needs and market opportunities to facilitate go to market plans with new and existing products and solutions.
• Lead research projects and execute applications development work, ensuring projects are appropriately resourced and executed.
• Collaborate with in-market and in-system strategic marketing, research and development, and in-market sales on the development of insights to identify and deliver solutions.
• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance of animal welfare and product safety.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a field related to ruminant animal nutrition or animal science
• Minimum of four years of related work experience (could include time in graduate school)
• Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications

• Research skills
• Customer facing technical service experience
• Practical experience in positional animal nutrition and health solutions
• Practical experience in basic animal nutrition, physiology and health expertise
• Project management experience
