JOB PURPOSE

Finance Excellence Teams (FETs) are a core pillar within the Unilever Finance Operating Model. The Global Division FET directly business partners the Global and Cluster marketing teams across 2 core areas, Innovation Planning & Performance, and Cost Control & Investment Management. Working within the FET provides ambitious individuals with the opportunity to work in a Global team, develop team leadership and stakeholder management skills, and gain exposure to the strategies and priorities of all three Divisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading creation of local, regional, and global Home Care business cases for key markets (Europe and Asia). Business cases include the various assumptions and financial KPIs: consumer insights data, volume, price, trade term, cost of product, supply cost, capex investment, marketing investment, ROI, etc.
• Delivering Finance support for Post-Launch evaluations and 100-day reviews and driving discipline around the same.
• Maintaining a database of post-launch evaluation learnings for use by the business.
• In-depth financial analysis before and after launch to support decision making, and learning of the innovation projects.
• Driving innovation funnel and in-market performance data hygiene with Marketing (global as well as key markets).
• Defining local Marketing and Finance training needs on Innovation and supporting Global Innovation Finance Tools and Training lead in delivering local training leveraging global materials.
• Fully leveraging the endorsed Innovation Finance toolkit, including Innoflex (IPM & iTrack in interim), Standard Business Case tool, Sketchbook, and others, and leading for continuous improvement of the tools through application in and feedback from key markets and Home Care Division.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.

In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
