The role

Colgate-Palmolive invites applications for the position of IT Executive Support Analyst for the WCS (Workplace and Collaboration Services) team at our Corporate HQ in New York, as part of the Global Information Technology (GIT Organization).


This position plays an integral role in the Park Avenue, NY WCS team responsible for troubleshooting technology issues for end-users and maintaining network reliability at our corporate headquarters, with particular focus on providing white glove support to our C-Suite Executives and their staff, and our Board of Directors.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent IT support for all C-Suite executives on a 24x7x365 basis, both on and off site, including technology training, asset replacement and upgrades, repairs, moves, changes and general questions.
  • Provide support for key meetings such as Board of Directors and Committee meetings, Annual Shareholders, Quarterly Business Updates and other ad-hoc meetings as required.
  • Liaise with Executive Admins to build and maintain strong professional relationships, ensuring we are fully informed of all upcoming events that will require support and keeping them informed of planned infrastructure changes which could affect systems availability or rollout of new features / technologies which will be available to them.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with business users, IT partners, peers and vendors
  • Support all infrastructure incidents including desktops, laptops, servers, LAN connectivity, network printers, iPhones, and application support.
  • Ensure that appropriate action is taken to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in systems and services ensuring that such problems are fully documented within relevant system(s). Coordinate the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures and analyse patterns and trends.
  • Troubleshoot, follow through on problem determination, prioritization, resolution and closure of hardware and software
  • issues reported by the users
  • Assist end users with security related incidents, performing virus scans and addressing and/or escalating to the Global Security team accordingly.
  • Support the IT onboarding process of new employees, including providing access and familiarization to all relevant technology required to successfully perform their duties.
  • Manage the company's leased assets (computers, servers, network equipment, etc.), keeping track of their life cycle in the appropriate systems and replacing them when appropriate.
  • Work with the team to enter and modify inventory information in the asset inventory database to ensure equipment is replaced and returned on schedule
  • Utilize available resources to reduce time and increase efficiency troubleshooting problems
  • Plan and manage complex infrastructure changes following established global standards during approved maintenance windows
  • Grasp technical concepts quickly and apply learning's based on Global GIT standards
  • Translate & simplify technical information to non-technical users
  • Devise and recommend inventive and creative solutions to solve complex infrastructure problems
  • Document and share solutions used to resolve problems and concerns associated with personal computer equipment, hardware and software in the ticketing system
  • Research and utilize new technology, make recommendations to modify Colgate standards to achieve faster and better results for our end users
  • Maintain and expand current technical expertise including new industry trends, Colgate strategic partnerships, and self-study
  • Understand and utilize project management methodologies to build and manage project plans for Infrastructure implementations
  • Contribute to special projects, ad-hoc committees, inter-departmental committees and professional organizations in determining impact of related projects
  • Ensure business continuity for all our IT infrastructure (servers, network, etc.). Escalate to Senior Management and engage central IT teams when required.
  • Partner with GIT colleagues globally assisting with grid projects, infrastructure upgrades and implementations.
  • Adhere to all corporate best practices and ensure compliance with IT standards via completion of infrastructure checklist.
  • Support all audits (corporate and external) providing all necessary documentation and answering all related questions.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree, Technical Certification or Equivalent Experience (Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or Engineering)
  • A proven track record of performance with at least two (2) years of IT Infrastructure related work/experience in similar size organization
  • In depth understanding of PCs, networks, and mobile devices
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology and functionality in a fast paced environment, adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals and cultures.
  • Technical Expertise: Competent to expert skill level in implementing and supporting the following technologies
    • LAN (including CISCO wireless and printing),
    • End user devices (PC’s, Smart Phones, Tablets),
    • Windows 10 / Mac OS / Server 2016 / Windows Active Directory
    • Google G-Suite Workplace
