Job Description

Business

  • Coordinate maintenance and improvements to site infrastructure, including but not limited to plant air, electrical distribution, steam distribution, water wells, natural gas distribution, and roads/rail.
  • Oversee contractors performing work on site infrastructure and ensure adherence to safety and quality requirements.
  • Partner with unit maintenance managers and planners to support the work order processing systems that prioritize and schedule repair work based on reliability and cost impact.

Agility and  Innovation

  • Identify and champion the use of new technologies/methods that improve the site’s reliability performance and culture.

Relationships and People

  • Identify training gaps based on infrastructure needs, and recommend/provide training to plant maintenance personnel, planners, and contractors to close gaps.
  • Solicit feedback from plant personnel and report on the satisfaction of both internal and external customers of the condition of site infrastructure to ensure customer focus is maintained.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

  • College degree in technical or management discipline or equivalent in education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in maintenance supervision/planning.
  • Knowledge of SAP system as it pertains to maintenance and operations.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in setting priorities and executing multiple assignments in a timely manner.
  • Capacity to solve problems through creative, innovative solutions and challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing operations, processes, and customer base.
