Infrastructure and Automation DV Engineer

The Role: A versatile Engineer who can develop and maintain the infrastructure, tools and automation for ASIC design and verification flows. AMD is looking for an Engineer to work on the development of the infrastructure, tools and automation that enables the next generation technology that will be part of future AMD Microprocessors powering Servers and Personal Computers as well as Graphics Cards and Gaming Consoles.

The Person:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with pronounced attention to detail
• Capable of independently driving tasks and activities to completion in an organized and timely manner with excellent quality

• Develop and maintain different types of automation flows and corresponding infrastructure
• Develop and maintain aspects of the infrastructure that allows RTL simulation and logical design verification
• Work with update and enhance tools and multiple other aspects related to CAD/EDA
• Develop or enhance in-house tools for productivity enhancement, metric collection, and tracking
• Develop or enhance in-house tools for debug automation/acceleration and simulation data analysis, using Machine Learning and Data Mining techniques
• Identify performance and productivity bottlenecks and come up with innovative solutions
• Own sanity, regression, coverage and Continuous Integration flows required for ASIC design and verification, working with, maintaining and enhancing corresponding data bases and GUIs

Preferred Skill sets & Experience:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with pronounced attention to detail
• Capable of independently working on tasks or other activities driving them to completion in an organized and timely manner with excellent quality
• Proficient coder in a variety of languages, excellent scripting skills (C++, SystemVerilog, Ruby, Python, Perl, TCL, SQL)
• Full command of Unix/Linux and shell scripting
• Familiarity with Jenkins, JIRA, JAMA, GIT, Perforce
• Experience with Verilog or other HDLs highly desirable
• Experience with Firmware is a plus
• Experience with ASIC Design Flow would be an asset
• Experience with Design Verification, UVM, OVM, VMM or Formal Verification would be a plus
• Familiarity with industry standard high-speed protocols such as PCIe, SATA, USB or Ethernet is a plus

Education: Computer Science, Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering degree
