Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive invites applications for the position of Manager- Supply Chain in our Company Global Information Technology (GIT) Organization. This role is in the Global Application and America’s Organization supporting Divisional and Subsidiary teams in North America, Latin America and Hill’s Pet Nutrition. This position is based in Piscataway, New Jersey.

As supply chain technology continues to accelerate and transform, we have a number of exciting projects in the works and are looking for an Application Integration Manager to join our team to help realize our vision.

 

The role

This role plays an integral role in the implementation of new Supply Chain applications and must be able to apply conceptual knowledge of the supply chain to implement solutions that satisfy all business requirements and engage with business leadership and key users at the global, divisional and regional level.

You have superb communication skills, can translate technical jargon into business friendly language to communicate concepts and ideas (and vice versa), and are comfortable working with both technical and non technical partners.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the supply chain organization at the divisional and subsidiary levels to understand business processes and capture business requirements
  • Analyze research and resolve requests submitted by the IT functional leads, using existing technologies and ensuring the solution is aligned with divisional goals and GIT strategies.
  • Develop web services within SAP to be demonstrated by external applications
  • Identify new techniques and technologies and concepts that can add value to business and IT.
  • Implement global bundles for North America, Hill’s and Latin America subsidiaries.
  • Optimally communicate project and work related information to the team.
  • Ensure compliance of GIT governance practices.
  • Participate in the planning of and lead the implementation of multiple sophisticated GIT projects simultaneously

 

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree
  • 5+ years in Project Management experience and/or certification
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated ability in an IT role implementing SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) software
  • Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express sophisticated technical concepts in business terms
  • Able to adapt and work optimally with a variety of situations, individuals, and technologies
  • Working on Agile/SCRUM development teams
  • Clear, concise and user-friendly interpersonal skills to easily transmit your ideas to any audience
  • Strong organization skills and self-motivated with the ability to overcome obstacles, and drive resolution to issues
  • Detail oriented, well organized and methodical in analysis and execution.
  • Ability to work on numerous assignments at one time with proven follow-through, attention to detail and dedication to business partnership
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity - in business requirements, technology options and product / site direction

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hands on experience with integration platforms, such as API, IDOCS or any other web service integration methods
  • 2 years of experience in APO, IBP or other supply chain planning applications (Kinaxis, Logility, O9)
  • ERP cross-functional experience
  • Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Business
  • Proficiency in ABAP programming
  • IT or Business work experience for a consumer goods organization
  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform Integration - Data Services
  • Experience on SAP S/4 environment
