Job Description

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of hands on experience in a relevant field: intelligence, cyber security (such as: Incident Response, Pen testing, Security Operations, Access Management, Network Security), engineering, or Information Technology disciplines
  • Strong self-starter mindset and a desire to both 1. identify areas for improvement and 2. seek to do what it takes to realize that improvement
  • Understanding that sending an email a potential first step, not the last step, to any remediation effort
  • Strong analytical skills, able to leverage complex data to identify opportunities, recognize problems, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Strong understanding of the current cyber threat landscape
  • Knowledge of and interest in one or more computer programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PHP, Java, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell
  • Willingness to obtain the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification within 1 year (training and exam provided by the company)
  • Independent performer in identifying reportable items of interest, drafting reports and briefings, and publishing them
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems, minimally Windows and Linux
  • Understanding of network protocols and concepts
  • Ability to understand complex technical issues and translate them to language business stakeholders can understand and take action
  • Understanding of how different vulnerabilities may impact an enterprise environment
  • Understanding of how technical and process mitigations may impact final criticality of a vulnerability
  • Knowledge of threat actors’ methodologies and motivations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, etc.
  • Experience in Incident Response
  • Government/Military experience
