Job Description:

The role of Business Information Security Officer is to support with the implementation, delivery and management of Information Security systems and controls within the BBC TV Licencing account, in accordance with Capita policy, industry best practice and client contractual requirements.

The successful candidate can look forward to a role where no two days are the same, effecting change across a business where information security is at the heart of all decision making. This position is offered on a full-time permanent basis and can be based at either our Darwen or Bristol office.

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensuring the protection of assets and systems through defined Control Frameworks, structures, resources and access levels
• Raising, tracking and reviewing BBC Information Security Dispensation requests and Capita Exceptions/PNCs
• Assisting in scoping Penetration Tests, liaising with Testers, internal teams, IBM and BBC
• Providing IT and Information Security input to the Risk process and managing the IT Risk register, liaising with internal teams as required
• Supporting with the provision of evidence for ISO27001 and PCI DSS Audits
• Delivering Information Security KPI Reports and measures to provide assurance that the IT and Information Security framework is operating effectively

What we’re looking for:

• Excellent level of IT/PC skills, experience working with IT Security Frameworks and Management systems
• Delivery of ISO 27001 and PCI DSS certification material
• Working knowledge of HMG/PSN Security policies and standards
• Experience in report writing, developing dashboards and identifying areas for improvement
• Understanding of business resilience/business continuity
• Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials and ICT security architectures and common designs for mitigating information security risks
