We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as an Information Risk Manager, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

The Information Risk Manager provides central support, oversight and management over Data Sharing, Outsourcing and Regulatory Compliance matters across Finance globally. The overall goal is to help ensure adherence to required controls and processes as well as local laws and regulations.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee and support Data Sharing activities across Finance globally including understanding and communicating changes to laws and regulations.
  • Provide oversight and guidance over related matters including Group Material Outsourcing and Privacy Impact Assessments.
  • Support and deliver against Finance’s Conduct and Personal Account Dealing requirements.
  • Provide central guidance and communications to stakeholders and effectively address any queries.
  • Have regular engagement with Risk Stewards and other ‘Second Line of Defense’ parties.
  • Effectively represent Finance in Working Groups and other similar forums.
  • Provide communication, guidance and sharing of best practice.
  • Identify and drive process improvements.
  • Value different perspectives, creating an inclusive environment, valuing and leveraging diversity, being sensitive to other cultures.
  • Work well with staff from other departments and within team.
  • Integrate Data Sharing risks within the Operational Risk framework.
  • Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent risk in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology.
  • Keep abreast of industry-wide developments and assess how these may impact the internal control environment. 
 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Understanding of a Finance function.
  • Data management and governance experience.
  • Ability to manage various and differing global requirements.
  • Ability to understand and interpret legal and / or regulatory requirements.
  • Prior Project Management and Business Analyst experience.
  • Demonstrable Stakeholder Management.
  • Proven project and risk management capabilities with a focus on resolving complex problems
  • Fluency with using Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint tools.
  • Effective stakeholder management across multi-cultural environments
  • Well organised, autonomous and determined
  • Candidate would need excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills and confidence to deal with senior staff to sell
