About the team

 

A small office-based team providing a Key Service to Customers during business hours Monday-Friday ,  within Service Level Agreements and in line with the relevant legislation. 
 

The Team members also provide the service outside business hours, for ad-hoc urgent requests only, on a flexible on-call rota basis working from home.

 

About the role

 

  • To provide information in a timely and accurate manner to authorised third parties such as law enforcement agencies using Telefonica UK systems in accordance with provisions of the relevant legislation;
  • To provide a high level of customer service and support to all enquiries reaching the Information Disclosure Team.
  • To develop and manage relationships with, and acting as the primary contact for, external law enforcement agencies and other third parties.

 

Key  responsibilities

 

Adhere to all relevant processes thereby ensuring that:-

  • information disclosed is accurate, provided in a timely manner, and to agreed policies and procedures.
  • appropriate and accurate records are maintained to ensure full audit trails of information to all third parties, including data storage/destruction.
  • daily reconciliation of requests is performed, identifying any issues, implementing corrective action, and reporting non-compliance.
  • Statistics are collated and recorded

 

Act as single point of contact for faults related to the Service being provided:-

  • log faults
  • Monitor system alarms
  • Perform basic fault/alarm analysis
  • Liaise with engineers and customers to resolve or escalate as appropriate to meet Service Level Agreements.

 

Perform User Acceptance Testing of database enhancements as required.

 

Provide advice to requesting agencies on the service available from Telefonica UK within appropriate legislation.

 

Actively support at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive information.

 

Key skills/experience/behaviours

 

Essential:

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Well organised, IT proficient, numerically accurate.
  • Able to keep work confidential, show discretion and not discuss externally
  • Good knowledge of company standard office software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel);
  • Able to provide after-hours support to customers as required.
  • Be prepared to submit to or already possess security vetting to SC level.

    
Desirable:

  • Experience in a role involving communication and relationship building with customers. 
  • Knowledge of relevant Government legislation (Investigatory Powers Act, GDPR, Data Protection Act) would be an advantage.
