What’s the role about?
Our Industrial Placement Programme within Learning and Development will make you see retail in a new light. Our unique Partnership difference and approach to business will enable you to get the most out of your placement year. Our placements combine hands-on experience with real projects. You will also receive relevant on the job training.
Within the Learning & Development Teams, you will work alongside the Learning & Development (L&D) Professionals to identify, design and deliver learning experiences from non-management customer facing Partners up to senior leaders. Work within the L&D teams to partner with areas of the business to identify business problems and then create innovative learning experiences to enable Partners to develop new skills or drive cultural change.
Collaborate with us to support our ambitions of being the best retail learning organisation through developing outstanding learning content and aspirational progression programmes, so our Partners feel inspired and motivated to be their best for themselves and our customers.
What will you be doing?
Research internally and externally to identify current learning trends, collate insights and offer recommendations to improve the effectiveness of learning.
Work on a number of exciting projects coming up next year especially in the area of ethics and sustainability; where we will be developing a new program of learning for our buyers and diversity and inclusion (D&I).
Gain a strong understanding of the end-to-end design thinking and content design (learning experiences) working alongside the learning specialists in the various Learning & Development (L&D) teams.
Shape creative and innovative, blended learning solutions for our core training offer and leadership learning.
Collaborate with our Learning & Development teams and third party suppliers to assure learning being created meets our learning standards.
Assist the team in doing a full review of the mandatory learning every Partner and supplier goes through as part of their induction including D&I.
The opportunity to work alongside the Learning Experience team, Leadership Development team and possibly UX/research team or User Interface team who look after our learning platforms. There may also be an opportunity to work with our Learning Design team or Progressions team who look after programs such as Apprenticeships.
Where will you be working?
This role can be based at our Victoria Head Office in London or our Bracknell Head Office in Berkshire. It will involve home working and times where you will be required to work in the office. If you are offered one of our roles you can discuss with your People Manager when you will be needed to work in the office.
What you'll have
To be eligible for this role, you must be studying an undergraduate degree at university. As part of your degree, you will be taking a year out in industry commencing July 2022.
